We are currently seeking a friendly, highly motivated, and professional Certified Medical Assistant or experienced Secretary for our Pain Clinic located inside the Putnam County Hospital. This is a full time, day shift and benefit eligible position. The individual must possess the ability to multi-task a wide variety of duties efficiently and meet deadlines consistently. Certification is required for Medical Assistants and medical office experience is preferred for the Secretary position. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professionalism are a must.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Insurance, certification and authorizations
  • Triage of telephone calls and scheduling
  • Registration and scheduling of patients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Main point of contact for all referrals and their processing within the clinic
  • Working directly with Physician and/or Nurse Practitioners
    Information exchange with external providers and caregivers utilizing good customer service
  • Adjust to unexpected changes in the schedule or work flow within the clinic
