Diabetes Nutrition Group Class Offered

Putnam County Hospital will host a diabetes nutrition class on Monday, May 5, 2014 for members of the community. Included in the instruction are food label reading, portion control and carbohydrate counting. The class will be led by Registered Dietitian, Sharon Black.

The class will meet in the third floor classroom of Putnam County Hospital from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The participation fee will be $25 per person and will be collected on the day of the class. The fee includes student materials and a healthy snack. The class size is limited to 20.

Those wishing to participate must enroll in the class by calling Putnam County Hospital’s Central Scheduling at 765-301-7310 no later than Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
