Mill Pond is partnering with Putnam County Hospital to bring a free wellness screening to members of the Putnam County Senior Center.
The screening will take place on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mill Pond Health Campus.
Individuals who participate will receive a complimentary packet to take home with the results from their screening. The wellness screening includes:
— Vitals, including height, weight, blood pressure and pulse oximetry.
— Glucose (finger stick).
— Cholesterol.
— Bone density.
— Nutritional education and recipes from a registered dietician.
— Opportunity to schedule a mammogram, cardiac score or lung cancer screen at the hospital.
— Education on services and specialties that are now offered locally.
— Review of results with a certified wellness coach.
— Flu shots available for $20.
Registration for the general screening is not necessary. If you would like to receive the flu shot, reserve your vaccination by calling 720-4706 by Feb. 2.
The wellness screening is to be used as a tool to help individuals understand their current health and become more proactive in ways to make themselves healthier. Putnam County Hospital encourages those participating to share their results with their primary care provider.
If you have questions regarding the wellness screening, call Brooke Trissel with Mill Pond Health Campus at 720-4706.
