Local physicians come together to thank PCH staff and raise funds for community organizations

Physicians at Putnam County Hospital were in the holiday spirit, giving back to the staff at the hospital, while raising money for local organizations.

Each week, physicians donated prizes and sold raffle tickets to the staff. A winner was drawn each Friday, with proceeds going towards the organization(s) of the physician’s choice.

Week one featured a home audio system donated by Dr. Sreedasyam and $100 cash donated by First National Bank. Becky Hutcheson was the lucky winner, and a total of $353 will be donated to the Family Life Center at Riley Children’s Hospital.

Week two featured an iPad donated by Dr. Landry. Ray Jackson was the winner, while a a $545 donation will be made to Care Net Pregnancy Center in Putnam County.

Week three featured a $400 Amazon gift card donated by Dr. Mendelsohn. Breanna Burnham was the lucky winner. $848 was raised that will be donated to the Putnam County Library.

Week four featured $500 cash donated by Dr. Martin. The lucky winner was Jessie Lund, raising $1,100 for the Humane Society of Putnam County.

Week five featured a 55” TV and sound system donated by Dr. LG Palanca and Dr. Stella Palanca. The winner was the super lucky Becky Hutcheson, once again! This raffle raised $526 that will be donated to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul and Putnam County Humane Society.

Week five featured four prizes, including a $100 Visa gift card, $100 iTunes gift card, $100 Starbucks gift card and $100 cash, all donated by Dr. Johnson, Dr. Skrabak, Dr. Robert Heavin, Dr. Ahlawat and Dr. Szotek. Raising a total of $592, the winners include Shari Shepard, Victoria Mullins, Crista Miller and Katie Bennett.

A total of $3,964 will dispersed throughout Putnam County. A very special thank you to the physicians for giving back to the staff and community.
