Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center Expanding Care with Additional Physician

Ayon-grey Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center is proud to be expanding their cancer care by partnering with Franciscan Physician Network-Oncology & Hematology Specialists and, in accordance with this partnership, Jaime J. Ayon, MD., will be joining Dr. Frank Workman.

Dr. Workman states, “Dr. Ayon is indeed a well-trained physician. More than that, he is a good listener and a very personable person. His patients really like him and of course, he has a good rapport with the staff as well as patients. He will be a wonderful addition to the Putnam Oncology Program and the community.

Dr. Ayon will begin seeing patients at the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, and will continue seeing patients every Wednesday. Dr. Workman will continue seeing patients every Monday and Thursday.

“We are excited to expand our practice so we can reach more patients who are in need of our quality cancer care,” said Rhonda McCammack, RN, Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center Manager. “Our goal is to grow our practice while enhancing the high-quality and comprehensive care we offer to patients in a convenient, close-to-home setting.”

Dr. Ayon received his undergraduate education at University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.
