Putnam County Hospital Supports Local Robotics Program

Putnam County Hospital and the Putnam County Hospital Hospitalist Program proudly donated a check to sponsor the December 6 th robotics competition held by the Area 30 Robotics program. This is the first tournament hosted by the local robotics program. Various tournaments are held throughout the year, and the December 6 th event will serve as the championship event, with more than 40 robots from schools all over Indiana competing. The tournament which involves 10 qualifying matches, choosing alliances and finishing with a single elimination tournament will reward victors trophies and monetary gifts for future robotic parts. Registration for the robotics event starts at 8:00 a.m., with competition beginning at 9:00 a.m. If you would like more information on the Area 30 Robotics tournament, please contact  Zane Earles , with Area 30, at 765.653-3515, ext. 2136

The primary purpose of the Area 30 Career Center is to help high school junior and seniors apply their academic skills and develop career focused core technical proficiencies, employability skills, job seeking techniques and life skills. These skills are necessary to help assure successful entry and advancement in the workplace; to prepare the student to pursue further education and training after high school; and to prepare the student for a challenging and rewarding career.
