Putnam County Hospital Thanks Community

PCHOSP • March 29, 2020

Putnam County Hospital would like to express our gratitude to the community businesses and members that have reached out and lent a helping hand as we prepare for COVID-19 while maintaining safety for our staff and community members.

Putnam County Hospital is grateful for the partnership with Area 30 and truly appreciates the time they spent identifying supplies and bringing them to the hospital. Your dedication to your staff, students, and our organization is valued. Your items will be able to assist many organizations in Putnam County as we all try to maintain appropriate levels of Personal Protective Equipment.  Supplies were received from the Nursing Program, Health Careers, Auto Collision, Welding, Culinary Arts, and EMT programs.

Putnam County Hospital and the Putnam County Board of Health received and organized supplies from Dr. Hennette of Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Boatright of Boatright Dental Group, and Dr. Knuth of Greencastle Hometown Dental.  Dr. Boatright reached out to others to help and we truly commend her efforts in spearheading these efforts.  These supplies will be vital as we continue to prepare and help community members during this time.

Thank you to Sustainable Steam’s Rock Kaiser for making a long trip to retrieve material for Putnam County Hospital.  Greencastle School Corporation and Cloverdale Schools have been a vital part of helping the hospital.  Thanks to DePauw University for their continuing effort in being fantastic community partners and helping where needed.

We have been receiving homemade masks daily and would like to thank everyone that has continued to make and deliver the masks to the hospital.

Putnam County Hospital would like to thank Beau Baird, Jim Baird, Senator Rod Bray, and Senator Todd Young for their help and the time they took to take calls from the hospital. They listened to our concerns and helped strategize opportunities to receive the necessary PPE to keep our workforce safe.

We would like to thank the Banner Graphic, Hoosier Topic, WREB, and Distinct Web Design for helping Putnam County Hospital continue to get imperative information into the hands of our community.

Lastly, to the Putnam County Hospital staff, thank you is not enough for all of your hard work, dedication, adjustments, and hours that have been put into keeping our community healthy and safe.  You, the staff, are the heart of Putnam County Hospital and true heroes.  The staff has received meals from several local businesses as a thank you from our community.  It is very much appreciated by all.

Putnam County Hospital is committed to continue making adjustments as needed and recommended by the CDC and Indiana State Department of Health.  From the administration and staff of PCH, thank you to our community for your continued support.  We are all in this together.
