I have been married to my husband Matt for 9 years, and we have two beautiful daughters. We love to spend our time outdoors and enjoy animals. We have a lot of fur babies. We love to go camping and have a goal to visit every state. I love children and enjoy seeing patients of all ages.

Darla Berry, MSN, CNM brings nearly 30 years of experience as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and a lifelong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to women. After beginning her career as a registered nurse and practicing for eight years, she became a certified nurse-midwife in 1998. Since then, she has dedicated her career to supporting women through pregnancy, childbirth, and every stage of their reproductive and overall health.

Darla founded the midwifery practice at IU Health Riley and has continued to champion innovative, relationship-based models of care that expand access while keeping patients at the center of decision-making. She currently collaborates with the OB/GYN team at Union Hospital to help expand access to high-quality maternity and women's healthcare for patients across the region, particularly those living in maternity desert communities.

A passionate advocate for women and for the midwifery model of care, Darla believes every woman deserves care built on trust, respect, meaningful relationships, and shared decision-making. She is particularly passionate about improving access to care in underserved communities and empowering women to be active partners in their health. She believes midwives bring a unique perspective to healthcare—one that emphasizes listening, education, prevention, and partnership throughout every phase of a woman's life.

Darla and her husband live on the west side of Indianapolis and have four children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on IU football, the Indiana Pacers, and IndyCar racing.
